The Sustainable Ewing Green Team is set to host a new series of environmental presentations.

The presentations are designed to engage Ewing residents in a public conversation about critical environmental issues and to spark new ideas concerning sustainability.

The series is set to debut with a presentation by Green Team and Ewing Environmental Commission member John Mark Mirabella.

Mirabella will present Environmental Disasters and the Evolution of Environmental Enforcement. He plans to discuss the history of and development of environmental enforcement and its economic justification with a specific examination of environmental “disasters”.

The presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Ewing Public Library, 61 Scotch Road, Ewing.

The Sustainable Ewing Green Team is an annually appointed Township Board and meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Ewing Senior and Community Center. In 2013, the team was instrumental in documenting Ewing’s sustainable actions to achieve Ewing’s first ever Bronze Level certification from Sustainable Jersey.
