The Community District Alliance and the entire Bordentown Regional School District provided over 50 baskets of Thanksgiving supplies to families in need this holiday season.

Donations were received from BRHS students, faculty and staff. Michelle Quigley’s class organized the donations that came from the high school. With some of the monetary contributions, Jodie Glenn and Cara Jones and Michelle Quigley’s life skills classes went to Acme and to shop for supplies. Raquel Page’s family and consumer science class made macaroni and cheese and pumpkin pies.

Many organizations and businesses in the Bordentown community participated in the drive. Bordentown Rotary Club and Acme provided turkeys, bread and pies. Members of the Bordentown Township Police Department, John Pavlovsky from the Rotary Club, superintendent Edward Forsthoffer, Bordentown Regional Middle School principal Joseph Sprague, assistant principal/athletics Ernest Covington and alum Brady Hudik picked up the supplies from Acme and helped prepare everything.

Robert Pecht, owner of Bordentown Home for Funerals offered cooked meals through the efforts of Bordentown Elks, Bordentown Home for Funerals, Bordentown Kiwanis, Christ Church Parish, Consolidated Fire Association and Knights of Columbus.
