Crafts, music, books and more will come together at the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown’s Arts Weekend, set for Feb. 9-11.

The weekend will begin with an opening reception for the Fine Art and Craft Show and Sale on Friday, Feb. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. This annual show features artists from the local area. The show and sale will continue on Saturday, Feb. 10 from noon to 3 p.m., 6 to 6:45 p.m. and immediately following a concert that starts at 7 p.m.

Performing at the concert will be Dr. Bob Lowden, who will present a piano program of medleys and songs that blend a variety of styles, like show tunes, Ragtime, movie themes, ballads and gospel. Lowden has been the accompanist at the church since 2015 and has taught music at every level, from Kindergarten to college.

The arts and crafts show will also be open on Sunday, Feb. 11 from noon to 3 p.m.

Also set for the weekend is a “meet the author” book signing featuring Pastor William Stell, who has been serving as the first openly gay pastor of the church since July 2016. Stell recently wrote and released his first book, Free, Clean and Loved, and he will sign copies during the arts weekend. Free, Clean and Loved is also available at parsonsporch.com.

All events will take place at the church, located at 420 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown and are free to the public. More information and a video sampling of Lowden’s music are available on the church’s website at bordentownpresbyterian.org under Community Involvement/Fine Art Show.
