The project involves the reconstruction of the road between Canoe Brook Drive and Clarksville Road. The first phase of the project involved reconstruction of the road from West Winds Drive south to New Village Road. The project includes widening of the road in some portions, and the addition of bike lanes.

The township budgeted $500,”000 in total for the first phase, $200,”000 of which came from the DOT last year. The estimate for the work for the second phase is around $300,”000, said township engineering technician Brian Aronson, with the $175,”000 covering a little more than half of the cost.

Aronson said that officials were also looking to extend sewer and water services for some of the residents living along the road.
