The Village School community of students, staff, and families laced up their sneakers for a Wolf Walk on April 25. The school-wide activity raised awareness and collected donations in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. More than $8,000 was raised.

The project is a veterans service organization that helps to foster wounded service members through a variety of programs, services, and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of September 11.

“We are thrilled by the great response from our students, staff, and families,” said Janice Elliott, Village School teacher and organizer of the project. “Our grades four and five students learned the value and the importance of community service and helping others.”
