Vintage baseball teams to play June 30

The Historical Society of Princeton is set to host a 19th century-style baseball game on June 30.

The Flemington Neshanock are set to scheduled to face off against the Diamond State Club of Delaware 11 a.m. June 30 at Greenway Meadows Park, 275 Rosedale Road, Princeton.

Teams will play two competitive matches of bare-handed baseball, wearing period uniforms and using rules from 1864 or 1873.

The event will also include a short lesson on the history of the game and a recitation of “Casey at the Bat” by Brad “Brooklyn” Shaw.
