Princeton High School Sophomore Kenny Xu holds his first published novel, Trisk.

Princeton High School sophomore Kenny Xu published his first novel called Trisk.

The fifteen-year old spent a year and a half writing, revising and promoting his 443-page book.

Trisk, a young adult novel, centers on a tough, highly competitive fictional sport that has reached mass appeal. It is a futuristic tale that also serves as a reflection on social norms and group dynamics.

“I’ve always been fascinated with how teams interact with each other behind the scenes, how they strengthen and build each other up, but can also break each other down,” Xu, who runs cross country and plays tennis, said.

Xu wrote his first novel when he was eight years old. Since then, he wrote four more novels; but Trisk is the first one Xu decided to publish.

Trisk is available in print and electronic editions on Amazon and through direct order at triskbook.com.
