Four more officers within the Plainsboro Police Department have been promoted to sergeant and corporal roles, rounding out the recent round of promotions and hirings to fill holes within the department.
Scott Seitz and John Bresnen, both of whom were corporals with the department, were promoted to sergeant and were sworn in to their duties on August 24.
Seitz, of Hamilton, has been with the Plainsboro Police Department for 14 years. He is married with two children, ages 5 and 7.
Bresnen, of Robbinsville, has been on the force for 10 years. During his tenure, he spent five years in the patrol division, three years in the traffic bureau, and served as corporal for two years. He is engaged to be married.
In addition to the two new sergeants, two of the department’s detectives — Eamon Blanchard and Robert Fleming — have been promoted to corporal positions.
Blanchard, of Cream Ridge, has been with Plainsboro for nine years. In that time period, he served four years as a patrolman and five years as an adult detective. He has a four-year criminal justice degree from Rutgers University and is married.
Fleming, of Lambertville, served as a paid Plainsboro EMT for six years before he took the test to become a police officer. He spent three years in the patrol division and five years as the department’s juvenile detective. He is married and has three children, ages 2, 5, and 7.
