The Township of Plainsboro is offering a helping hand to the residents of Houston victimized by devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.
The Township has partnered with Hermann Services, a Dayton-based family owned transportation company, which has identified items of need and agreed to transport those goods to Houston in the near future.
A trailer has been located at the municipal building behind the township recreation building at 641 Plainsboro Road where donated items (only new and unopened listed items) can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Personal items being collected include shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap/body wash, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, senior and children diapers, Q-tips/cotton balls, feminine hygiene products, razors and shaving cream, socks and baby formula.
Also begin collected are home items such as towels, pillows, blankets, bleach, detergent, comfort kits, first aid supplies, medical gloves, pet food, water and Gatorade.
Finally, they are also collecting flashlights, phone chargers, batteries and school supplies.
