Millstone River School conducted an essay contest encompassing the theme of peace for Peaceful Schools International. Essay contest winners include Sophia Shi, Michelle Zhang, Laura Li, Jeffrey Dong, Matthew Jiang, and Raadhika Kher.##M:[more]##

The school has been a member of Peaceful Schools International, an organization that provides support and recognition to schools that have declared a commitment to creating and maintaining a culture of peace, since 2005. With the support of the school’s administrators, Mary Ann Isaacs and Dianne Gallo, fifth grade teachers Ronni Epstein and Michelle Pellecchia became instrumental in getting Millstone River School to become the first school in the state of New Jersey to join PSI. Millstone River School was highlighted on the PSI website for the month of April.
