Eric Zutty of West Windsor has been cast in the role of Aaron Carson in “Trouble of Shameland” to be produced in New York City as part of the New York International Fringe Festival. Aaron is a six-year-old boy who plays two roles, one in the present and one in flashback.##M:[more]##

In the past, Eric, 10, has appeared on the Conan O’Brien show and “Wonder Pets,” an animated show for Nickelodeon. A student at Village Upper Elementary School, he sings in the school choir and in Sheket, Princeton Jewish Center’s junior choir.

Based on Michael Carson’s graphic novel about one man’s tragic story, a mother’s triumphant return to living, and a young boy’s never-ending search for his lost platypus, the play features puppetry, black light theater, video, and a musical score. Written and directed by Bryan Putnam, the New York City debut was in a developmental reading program with the York Theater Company last December where Eric’s older brother, Andrew, performed the role of Young Michael.

The production will be Friday August 11, to Sunday, August 27. Tickets are $15. For information visit www.troubleinshameland.com or call 212-279-4488.
