Move Ahead With Redevelopment

I am a proponent of the Princeton Junction transit village/West Windsor town center. ##M:[more]##I watched on television in their entirety the second and third consultants’ presentations and missed the first, not because of lack of interest, but because of a prior commitment. I also watched a recent council meeting. All of the

consultants were qualified and professional.

I am somewhat dismayed to see that some council members continue to bring forward the issue of an “open” selection process as something that needs to be discussed. There should be no need to change the rules of the game midstream or to ask presenters, working under certain guidelines, whether they would like everyone in the state of New Jersey to have input to the project and be present for their rejection.

Our elected officials should channel their considerable efforts into digesting the materials and asking more insightful questions than they have in the past — and then they should make the decisions for which they were voted into office.

The time is over for self-serving remarks. All I would like to hear now is how focused all West Windsor officials are on moving the project forward.
