The Mercer County Library System will soon begin accepting entries for its 2024 Amateur Photo Contest.

This year’s theme is “Adventures in Mercer County and Beyond.” Submissions will be accepted beginning Monday, Aug. 12 and ending Monday, Sept. 16.

Participants can submit their photograph at their local branch. A panel of judges from each branch will choose three photos, which will then be sent to the MCLS West Windsor Branch, where all photos will be evaluated by a final panel.

The following rules apply for applicants:

• Amateur photographers only.

• Photo retouching (including filters) is prohibited.

• All photographs must be printed on photo paper and sized to 5×7.

• Please do not frame photo.

• Do not put any identifying information on the photo.

• Submit your photo with a completed entry form (found at your local branch).

Winners will be announced in early October.
