Lakefront Gallery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton and the Princeton Photography Club seek submissions for a juried exhibition of photographs created by the generations within a family.

Grandfather and granddaughter, mother and son, grandmother and grandson, or similar pairs of photographers, are invited to participate in the upcoming exhibition called Generations.

“There are families where creativity runs deep – be it music, literature or visual arts,” Ilya Genin, cardiologist and Lakefront Gallery curator, said in a statement. “We are looking for those families where the photography has been the focus. The view of the world around us as seen by the members of the same family belonging to different generations will be the subject of our exposition.”

To be considered for the Generations Exhibit, examples of photographic images should be sent as small jpegs to tosgeisler@rci.rutgers.edu by Dec. 10. Submissions should include the relationship of the two photographers and estimated size of the framed prints.

Artists are set to be notified of final selections by Feb. 3, 2014.

The Generations exhibition is scheduled for March 7 to June 13, 2014.

Lakefront Gallery brings original photographic art to the walls of the hospital. It aims to enrich the patient, visitor and staff experience while providing show space at no charge to the artist.
