Mayor Peter Cantu and the members of the Plainsboro Township Committee will hold a dedication celebration for the donors who contributed to the new library, which opened in April.

The dedication, which will take place on Tuesday, October 19, at 4 p.m. will showcase the donor plaques and other graphics in the library to identify the contributions made by the donors.

A public event will be held later in the year over the holidays, when more residents will be available to celebrate, officials said.

The $12.4 million three-story library holds 125,000 volumes and provides informal reading areas, display space for art, quiet study rooms, 40 computer stations, a children’s section with an expanded science/computer center, a local history room, and community meeting rooms. It also features a health education center and independent study rooms.
