Jaime Friscia, a seventh grade student at Grover Middle School, organized a blood drive with the Community Blood Council. She obtained raffle items from area business and prizes from McCaffrey’s, Domino’s Pizza, Chicken Holiday, Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway, Village Pantry, Aljons, Lee’s Nails, and Fotolux.

Assisting her were fellow students Zamira Tinnie, Ariana Efstathius, Courtney Agyeman, Katie Sibley, and Carolina Echeverri.

The donated blood will go to area hospitals. A total of 14 units were collected.
