St. George Greek Orthodox Church is set to host the 48th annual St. George Greek Festival starting today and running through Sunday, May 18.

Authentic Greek food is always a major feature of the festival. The festival will feature a variety of authentic Greek dishes, including gyros, souvlaki, pastitsio, spanikopita, moussaka and more.

Desserts and pastries including baklava are also available. The complete menu is available online, and food can be ordered ahead of time for pickup at the festival.

In addition to the food, there will also be a flea market, a marketplace, Greek folk dancing and live music. Tours of the church are also on offer.

St. George Church was founded in 1922 in Trenton with a membership of 40 families. Most of the original families hailed from the islands of Andros and Chios. The parish relocated to Hamilton after purchasing the current property at 1200 Klockner Road in 1969.
