Looking for free family summer fun? Pack your lunch and enjoy a day outdoors on Picnic Days at the Tulpehaking Nature Center, July 28 and Aug. 25, from noon to 3 p.m.

Families and friends are invited to relax in the shade and enjoy educational activities and a sweet treat from Rita’s.

Join Watershed fellows Amanda Buchner and Giovanni Rivera for bilingual educational games and activities on the importance of water and the Delaware River watershed. Spanish-speaking volunteers will be on site.

Guests will be able to explore the small but mighty creatures that live in the marsh, participate in arts and crafts, and then finish out the day with a cool cup of Italian ice.

Picnic Day is free and open to the public as part of Tulpehaking Nature Center’s summer-long effort to provide engaging family programs. For more information, call (609) 888-3218 or e-mail tnc@mercercounty.org.

The Tulpehaking Nature Center is located at 157 Westcott Ave. in Hamilton. It is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
