Brookwood Cafe was crowned the grand champion of the Hamilton Rotary’s 6th annual Soup 4 You cook-off.
The Hamilton cafe, located at 3133 Quakerbridge Road, won for their cabbage soup. Allentown’s La Piazza Restaurant took home the chef’s choice award for their Chicken Poblano Soup.Approximately 400 soup tasters attended this year’s event, held on Feb. 26 at Steinert High School. In addition to soups from local restaurants, baked goods provided by the students of the Mercer County Academy of Culinary Arts and soft drinks were provided by the Hamilton Rotary.
