The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System is sponsoring the 7th Annual Trashed Art Contest, open to students in grades 7 through 12 and adults who reside in Mercer County.

The contest celebrates Earth Day by encouraging patrons to turn ordinary trash into extraordinary art. All accepted art entries will be publicly displayed during the month of April at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch. Entries will be judged before the reception on Saturday, April 23, 2016 and winners will be notified by phone or email. Awards will be given for first, second and third place in both the adult and student categories.

Entries must be delivered to Lawrence Library, located at 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville between 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21 and 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016. Contest entry forms can be picked up at the Library Reference Desk or downloaded from the library’s website at mcl.org.
