Hamilton Elks celebrate 54-year anniversary

The Hamilton Elks recently celebrated its 54th anniversary with a dinner and awards ceremony honoring those who exhibited outstanding achievement during the past Elk year.

Hamilton Elks Exalted Ruler Tim Dickson presented Jane Latini, Executive Director of Interfaith Caregivers of Mercer County, with the Citizen of the Year Award, citing her commitment, dedication and service to the community.

Interfaith Caregivers provide free non-medical support services to homebound elderly and disabled residents. Hamilton Township Police Officers Devin Hendricksen and Richard Rettzo received the First Responder of the Year Award. Officers Hendricksen and Rettzo are credited with terminating a violent assault in progress, saving the lives of two victims. Also honored was Hamilton Elks Past Exalted Ruler Manny Butera, who was cited for his outstanding service in the cause of Elkdom.
