The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile is set to come to Princeton Public Library on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 offering hands-on instruction for downloading eBooks and e-audiobooks. From noon to 5:30 p.m., the vehicle will be parked on Sylvia Beach Way in Princeton.

A high-tech version of the traditional bookmobile, the digital bookmobile is equipped with learning stations where visitors can learn to search the library’s digital OverDrive collection and experiment with a variety of supported mobile devices to experience eBooks and e-audiobooks. OverDrive staff will also be available to answer specific downloading questions.

The OverDrive event will also feature door prizes and a raffle for a new Kindle Paper White e-Reader. Digital bookmobile visitors need only write their name and contact information on a ticket to enter the raffle. The first 25 people to check out an e-audio title on their device will receive free iFrogz blue tooth speakers.

Three digital story times conducted by children’s librarian Katie Bruce will also take place during the bookmobile’s visit. The first session is at 1 p.m. for children up to age 4. Story times for older children will be held at 3 and 5 p.m. Two favorite characters from children’s books, The Cat in the Hat, from noon until 1 p.m. and Biscuit the dog, from 3 to 4 p.m. will be on hand as well.

All Princeton Public Library programs are free and open to the public. If programs require registration, preference is given to library cardholders. The physically challenged should contact the library at (609) 924-9529 48 hours before any program with questions about special accommodations.

The library is located in the Sands Library Building at 65 Witherspoon Street in Princeton. For more information about library programs and services, call (609) 924-9529 or visit princetonlibrary.org.
