Trenton artist open house to be held Oct 10

Ayala Shimelman is a fiber artist from Trenton, using materials from silk threads to metal shavings, beads to seaweed to create abstract and impressionistic images. Her work will be on display at an Open House on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The art showing will take place at the Bhakti House of Devotion located at 52 Abernethy Drive in Trenton.

Trenton artists SiriOm Singh and Ayala Shimelman are set to host an open house to show some of their new creations on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The art showing will take place at the Bhakti House of Devotion located at 52 Abernethy Drive in Trenton.

SiriOm Singh is an abstract expressionist. He uses acrylic and collage applying layering techniques, primarily with pallet knife, to create seascapes, landscapes and abstract paintings. His work was on display at the NJ State Museum, Ellarslie the Trenton City Museum, The Gallery at Mercer County Community College and the Da Vince Alliance in Philadelphia to name a few.

Ayala Shimelman is a fiber artist, using materials from silk threads to metal shavings, beads to seaweed to create abstract and impressionistic images. Her work was displayed, among other places, at Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts in Millville NJ, Ellarslie the Trenton City Museum, Phillips Mill New Hope, PA, and Ayala Shimelman in a fiber artist, using materials from silk threads to metal shavings, beads to seaweed to create abstract and impressionistic images. Her work was displayed at Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts in Millville NJ, Ellarslie, Trenton City Museum, Phillips Mill New Hope, PA, and the Tel Aviv City Museum In the Park in Tel Aviv, Israel.
