Rossen Milanov
On Sunday, March 15, at 4 p.m., the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is set to present Soulful Reflections at Richardson Hall on the campus of Princeton University. The concert will feature Sebastian Currier’s Microsymph and showcase cellist Zuill Bailey.
The program will include Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A Minor, Massenet’s “Meditation” from Thaïs and Sibelius’ Symphony No. 1 in E Minor.
Composer Sebastian Currier is currently the Artist-in-Residence at the Institute for Advanced Study.
There will be a pre-concert talk 3 p.m.
Two free events are set to precede the concert. Currier will join Rossen Milanov, PSO conductor, in a public discussion about Microsymph on Friday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m., at the “PSO Behind the Music” forum at The Institute’s Wolfensohn Hall located at 1 Einstein Dr. in Princeton.
On Saturday, March 14, Bailey will coach four student cellists on performance repertoire at the “PSO BRAVO! Master It!” masterclass, also at Wolfensohn Hall.
Tickets for Soulful Reflections range from $30-$75.
