Hamilton Township to host paper shredding event

Hamilton Township will host a free paper shredding day event on June 6 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., or until the shredding truck is full. The event will take place in the parking lot of the Hamilton Township Police Division Headquarters located at 1270 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road in Hamilton.

Mayor Kelly Yaede invites Hamilton citizens to shred paper materials and file folders up to a 100 lb. limit.

Items such as CD’s, VHS tapes, DVD’s, plastic cases, computer hardware, metal, trash items, food products, x-rays, cardboard or similar items are prohibited. Business or commercial materials are also prohibited.

The event is a free service open to township residents only and requires proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, tax bill or utility bill.
