Women With a Purpose will hold a benefit buffet dinner and dessert on June 3 at 6 p.m. The event will take place at Trenton Country Club located at 201 Sullivan Way in Trenton. This month’s recipient is Robert “Bobby” Adams.

Women With a Purpose is a local initiative dedicated to helping the community by aiding and supporting individuals, children or families in great need or distress one dinner at a time.

By getting together once a month, WWAP enjoys dinner or drinks at a local restaurant. At the beginning of the evening each attending guest contributes a minimum $10 gift and nominates an individual, child or family who has experienced an unforseen financial, health or catastrophic event. Towards the end of the evening, WWAP draws a random lottery from the nominations submitted and whomever is chosen will be gifted the money collected at next month’s dinner.

This month’s recipient, Bobby Adams, had the misfortune of being diagnosed with acute interstitial pneumonia earlier this year. His only hope at surviving was a double-lung transplant, which he received on March 20, 2015. While the operation was successful, Bobby and his wife Ashley are still under the financial burden of medical and rehabilitation costs. WWAP aims to ease this financial burden with this month’s dinner collection going to the Adams family.

Cost of this month’s dinner is $25 per person. A minimum contribution of $10 cash or check is required for this month’s recipient. Outside contribution for this event can be mailed to Women With a Purpose PO Box 74, Titusville, NJ 08560.

RSVP’s for the event can be sent to wwap.njpa@gmail.com.
