D&R Canal Watch to hold 5K

The D&R Canal Watch is set to hold its 23rd annual 5K Fun Run on March 29.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and is open to runners of all ages and abilities.

The start and finish will be near the visitor center in Washington Crossing State Park. The course heads to the Delaware & Raritan Canal towpath and loops through Titusville.

Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and top three male and female winners in six age categories. The run is sanctioned by NJ-USA Track & Field.

Participants may pre-register by March 24 for $20. Same-day registration is $25 and begins at 8:45 a.m.

Runners should use the parking lots near the main gate of Washington Crossing State Park, off Route 546.
