Plainsboro celebrates its 95th birthday at the town’s annual Founders Day celebration on Sunday, May 4. The free community festival commemorates the incorporation of the township on May 6, 1919.

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. with a parade from Edgemere Avenue to Plainsboro Road and then to the municipal complex at 641 Plainsboro Road. Opening ceremonies will be held when the parade participants arrive.

Scheduled activities include live entertainment, music, dance, magic, cultural programs, demonstrations, exhibits, games, clowns, jugglers, antique cars, and local history. All activities are free, and food is available for purchase.

There will be no public parking at the municipal building. Parking will be available at Enterprise Drive across the street from the municipal center. Police will be directing traffic, and residents are advised that road closings and detours will be in effect in the vicinity of the municipal center.
