K-9 walk to benefit injured Robbinville Police Officer

Robbinsville residents of the two-legged and four-legged variety will have a chance to take a walk, while giving back to a community member.

On Oct. 27, there will be a K-9 walk to benefit Robbinsville Police Lt. Scott Texidor, who sustained a life-altering injury that has left him confined to a wheelchair. The 5-kilometer walk will be on the new cross-country course at Robbinsville High School, and is for humans and dogs. Refreshments will be served by event sponsors, and all dogs will receive a doggy bag filled with treats. Dogs dressed for Halloween will receive a special treat.

The walk starts at 9 a.m. In-person registrations starts at 8 a.m.

Cost for those who register before Oct. 6 is $20. After Oct. 6, it is $25 per person. Kids 12 and younger are $12. All registered participants will receive a T-shirt. The proceeds of the event will go to Texidor.

Checks should be made payable to PBA Local 344, and mailed to: Robbinsville Township Police Department, Attn: SOA Local 344, 1117 Route 130, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. For those who can’t participate but would like to contribute, all donations can be sent to the same address.
