The Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library System is collecting handmade knit or crochet items for HomeFront.

The library is seeking adult-size scarves, hats and mittens.

Donated items may be dropped off at the library’s reference desk beginning Nov. 25 during the library’s open hours. The collection is scheduled to end Jan. 5.

HomeFront helps families end the cycle of poverty. Their mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring, resources and expertise of the community.

The Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library System is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville.
