Every Child Valued, a Lawrence-based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children in its community through educational enrichment programs, will host a benefit featuring an evening of poetry and drama on June 8, 2013 at 8 p.m. at the Lawrence Community Center.

The program, titled Love, Love, Love features the poetry of present and past students of the ECV Poetry Club and its teacher, Frederick Olessi. Two actors are set to present Olessi’s most recent dramatic work, Execution, which chronicles the last hours in the lives of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, two Italian immigrants who were put to death by the State of Massachusetts in 1927.

Proceeds raised from the event are set to benefit ECV’s After School and Summer Enrichment Programs that target at-risk children within Eggerts Crossing Village, a low-to-moderate income housing development in Lawrence, and the entire Lawrence Township community.

The organization’s mission is to motivate the young residents of Lawrence Township to reach their highest potential as educated and fulfilled adults, to strengthen families, to combat racial, cultural, and socioeconomic isolation, and to build a sense of community.

Tickets for this event are $20, which is tax deductible.

Refreshments will be available for sale.
