WW-P Receives $3.8 Million from State Grant

At the beginning of April State Senator Linda Greenstein announced that the WW-P School District will receive $3,863,130 through the Schools Development Authority’s Regular Operating District grant program. The money will be used for the following projects:

At High School South the roofs will be replaced in areas 1A and 1B of the main building. Existing carpeting in the commons, main office, and little theater will also be replaced.

At High School North the roof of the main building auditorium will be replaced. Two separate clock/PA and intercom systems will be replaced. Stairs 5 and 6 will see new doors and hardware installed as well.

At Grover Middle School a new exterior coating system will be applied to the existing steel arch entryways.

At Wicoff Elementary the roof of the main building, the roofs of modular additions 3, 4, and 5, and the cafeteria ceiling and lighting will all be replaced. The main driveway will also be restored.

Boilers will be replaced at Dutch Neck, Wicoff and Maurice Hawk. Also at Hawk the HVAC system will be replaced and the existing hard-surface play area will be restored.

Gym lighting will also be replaced at each of the district’s schools.
