The annual meeting of the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance will be Thursday, March 17, at 7 p.m. at the township’s senior center.

Andy Clarke, president of the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) — the oldest bicycling organization in the nation — will speak about ways to make the community friendlier for bicyclists and pedestrians. LAB (www.bikeleague.org) recognizes bicycle-friendly communities, businesses, and universities.

The WWBPA trustees will also be speak about the alliance’s plans for 2011, including its second annual Community Walk on Saturday, May 7; a biking event at the West Windsor Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 21; and efforts to expand the WW-P school district’s participation in International Walk to School Day, which was held last year in October.
