There are three seats up for grabs on the West Windsor-Plainsboro Board of Education this year, including those held by the board’s current president and vice president.

But for residents looking to run for one of those seats in the upcoming elections, which will take place on Tuesday, April 20, there is still time to file. The deadline is Monday, March 1.

There is one seat open in Plainsboro and two seats in West Windsor this year. All seats are for three-year terms. On the nine-member board, five seats are designated for West Windsor residents and four are designated for Plainsboro.

The terms of West Windsor residents Hemant Marathe, the board’s current president; Robert Johnson, vice president; and Plainsboro resident Ellen Walsh expire this year. Marathe, Johnson, and Walsh all confirmed they would be running for re-election.

Those interested in running can pick up a candidate kit in the district’s Central Office at 505 Village Road West, Princeton Junction, NJ, 08550.
