Boys’ Baseball

North (17-11): A loss to Hopewell Valley, 12-2, on May 28 in the NJSIAA Group III Central sectional final. Ryan DeMouth: 3-0-1-0; Ryan Phelan: 3-1-0-0; Chris Hase: 3-1-2-0; Mike Voltmer: 2-0-1-1; Brandon Rodriguez: 2-0-1-0.

Girls’ Softball

South (16-8): A loss to East Brunswick, 4-2, on May 28 in the NJSIAA Group IV Central sectional final. Dana Kong: 2-1-1-0; Liz Mendez: 3-0-2-1; Anna Schnitter: 3-0-1-0; Ella Alter: 3-1-1-0. RBIs: Hye-Jin Kim, Liz Mendez. Ella Alter and Liz Mendez hit singles.

Boys’ Tennis

North (21-2): Doubles team Abishy Pandita and Kevin Shi fell in the third round of the NJSIAA Doubles tournament, 6-2, 1-6, 7-5, on June 5.

A loss to Millburn, 3-2, in the state Group III final on May 27. Singles: 3.) Brandon Frank, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Doubles: Abishy Pandita/Kevin Shi, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1.

A win against Moorestown, 3-2, on May 27 in the in the state Group III semifinals. Singles: 3.) Frank, 6-2, 6-3. Doubles: 1.) Pandita/Shi, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). 2.) Zach Kurfirst/Kevin Shock, 7-6, 6-4.

South: Peter Ku and Abhinay Tumati fell in the second round of the NJSIAA Doubles tournament, 6-4, 6-2, on June 5.

Boys’ Golf

North (15-2-2): Charles Cai won the boys’ 13-15 title at the International Junior Golf Tour’s Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions on May 30. He shot a 72-66-71-210 and won the division by one stroke.

Boys’ Track

North: Jim Rosa won the 1,600 in a meet-record of 4:07.89 at the Meet of Champions on June 3 at the Frank Jost Field in South Plainfield, beating the old record of 4:08.11 set by Morris Hills’ Liam Tansey in 2009. Joe Rosa finished second in the 3,200, with a time of 8:48.55. Corey Abernathy finished third in the shotput with a toss of 58-2.

A second-place finish, with 56 points, at the Group III Championships on May 29. Joe Rosa won the 3,200 in a time of 9:08.07. Jon Squeri ran his best time by five seconds and placed third, with a time of 9:17.03. Joe Rosa won the 1,600-meter run on May 28, the night before.

South: Sam Macaluso placed second in the 1,600, with a time of 4:10.84, at the Meet of Champions on June 3 at the Frank Jost Field in South Plainfield.

A sixth place finish, with 25 points, at the Group IV Championships on May 29. Alex Prieto finished first in the triple jump at 46-6 1/4, the third best mark in the state. Sam Macaluso finished second in the 3,200-meter run, with a time of 9:09.27, while Brian Schoepfer placed sixth in the 800-meter run, with a time of 1:55.00.

Girls’ Track

South: The 4×400 relay team (Kate Calder, Sara Lemley, Ashleigh Delemos, and Emily Mauro) set a school record of 3:56.83 at the Meet of Champions on June 3.

Caroline Kellner placed fifth, with a time of 10:48.09, in the 3,200 at the state Group IV Championship on May 29.
