The Township Council has adopted an amendment to its ordinance that prohibits property owners from allowing the garbage in their receptacles from spilling out onto the ground while waiting to be collected.

Adopted September 20, the ordinance amendment states that “any person who controls, whether owned, leased, or operated, a refuse container or dumpster must ensure that such container or dumpster is covered at all times and shall prevent refuse from spilling out, overflowing or accumulating adjacent to said container.”
