Holt’s Misson: Help For the Middle Class

The Preamble to the Constitution is the mission statement of America. In 52 simple words, our forefathers, acting as representatives of “We the People,” memorialized a set of principles that have guided our nation to its preeminent position in the world.

Rush Holt’s record of public service clearly proves that he is a person totally dedicated to those principles both morally and pragmatically. In fact, Rush has seized upon one of those principles, “to promote the general welfare,” and made it his personal mission statement. Now, when the “general welfare” is pretty general but not so well we need leaders like Rush Holt who are measured by their conscience and empathy and not their net financial worth.

Rush’s accomplishments in Congress read like a wish list for the middle class. He has consistently voted to advance economic and social justice for the middle class, think jobs creation and unemployment insurance. His educational background and experience in scientific administration (PhD in physics and assistant director of Princeton Plasma Physics Lab.) qualify him for a leadership role in combating terrorist threats. He is the “go-to guy” in Congresss when it comes to nuclear disarmament, germ warfare, and dirty bombs.

New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District is a better place to live largely due to Rush’s constituent service. His opponent for that seat in Congress is a multimillionaire hedge fund manager. Both men have made it clear where they will take us if they win. Where do you want to go tomorrow? Rush Holt will take you there but only if you get out and vote for him.
