There are several events in the area to celebrate Memorial Day, Monday, May 28. It is a postal and bank holiday.

Memorial Day Ceremony, Plainsboro Township, Veteran’s Monument, Municipal Center, 609-799-0909. Wreath laying at memorial site to recognize Plainsboro residents serving in all 20th and 21st century armed conflicts, including World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Conflict, Operation Desert Storm, and the Gulf War. Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, West Windsor Township Recreation, High School South, Clarksville Road, 609-799-6141. www.wwparks-recreation.com. The annual parade along Clarksville Road continues to the township building. Participants include dignitaries, elected officials, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other community groups. Memorial service at the All Wars Memorial at the corner of North Post and Clarksville roads. Refreshments. Free. 11 a.m.

High School North Marching Band participates in the parade and combines with High School South Marching Band for the National Anthem. Other participants include West Windsor Little League, Princeton Junction and West Windsor fire departments, Sunshine Foundation, West Windsor Police Honor Guard, and West Windsor Council Members.
