Community Middle School teacher Karen Rosnick led Community students to place in the New Jersey National History Day competition.##M:[more]## Christie Dougherty placed second in the junior historical papers, Nitya Sivakumar placed second in the junior individual documentaries, and Lavanya Ganesh placed second in the junior individual performances. The contest, featuring historical inquiry and creative presentation in the form of papers, documentaries, performances, or exhibits by students in grades 4 to 12, was held at William Paterson University.

Michael Cintron of West Windsor received first place for his presentation of Antoine Lavoisier at the Princeton Latin Academy. The school honored the life of Geordano Bruno, a 16th century scientist who proposed the existence of other universes.
