Two West Windsor-Plainsboro teachers are featured in Scholastic.com’s “10 Ways to Decorate Your Classroom.” Audrey Kennan, a third grade teacher at Town Center School, began a recycling wall where students bring in a piece of “clean trash” that may be a solo sock or a glass jar. She glues the item to a bulletin board and asks the children to drawn and write ideas about how to use the item creatively. Rick Ellis, former kindergarten teacher at Dutch Neck School scoured garage sales for picture frames and mounting student artwork for display.
