Fran and Adele Danley of West Windsor celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 13 at Good Time Charleys in Kingston. The surprise party was hosted by their children, Terrie Mansmann and her husband Bill of Lawrenceville, Penny Danley-Gravatt and her husband Dan of Perrineville, Frank Danley of Colfax, North Carolina, and Holly Dansbury and her husband Mike of West Windsor. The couple also has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Danley was born in Princeton Hospital and was raised in the Penn’s Neck circle. Mr. Danley was born in Columbus and moved to West Windsor in 1939. They were high school sweethearts when they were students at Princeton High School. They were also co-workers at the Princeton Grill, also in the circle, where she was a waitress and he was a cook. They were married January 13, 1945 in Reverend Frederick’s home on Fisher Place.

He retired from the Henry Chauncey Conference Center of Educational Testing Service as a chef. She retired after 40 years as a waitress at the Annex Restaurant.
