Auditions

Pennington Players seeks actors for “Bye Bye Birdie,” on Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, June 12, noon to 4 p.m. at Kelsey Theater. Auditioners should prepare one complete song and bring sheet music (or recorded non-vocal accompaniment), photo, and resume. All roles are open for ages 15 and up. The Arts

The Drum and Dance Learning Center is open at the Academy Theater, 146 Route 130 North (next to Mastori’s Diner), in Bordentown, offering classes in belly dance, hip hop, world dance, and West African and Middle Eastern drumming. Cal 609-324-7383.

Artists in Residence, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to placing professional artists, writers, and musicians into area schools, is currently accepting proposals for the 2005-’06 school year. Deadline for proposals is Friday, June 24. AIR residencies offer students an opportunity to interact with professional artists and explore diverse opportunities for self-expression.
