The 23rd Annual Congressional Art Competition yielded five winners from the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District. Representative Rush Holt presented the awards at a reception and ceremony held at the Gallery at Janssen Pharmaceutica in Titusville on Monday, May 3.

Christin Seldon from High School South took the first place award in painting for “Trumpeter.”

Rebecca McFarland from High School North took the first place collage award for “Untitled.”

Diana Cino from High School North took first place for her print, “Desert Blackbirds.”

Lisa Simi from High School South took second place for “Untitled.”

Woodman Colon, High School North, captured the third place award for drawing-pastel with “Puerto Rican Day Parade.”

The grand prize was awarded to Garret Vitanza, Cardinal McCarrick High School, for “Self-Portrait.” His work will be displayed in the national exhibition in the Cannon Tunnel, a pedestrian walkway leading to the U.S. Capitol.
