West Windsor Gives Back is a new organization established by Mayor Hemant Marathe tasked with the mission of bringing the community together through charitable work and social events.

Each year WWGB will select a local group to support through fund raising efforts. This year’s honoree is the West Windsor Police Department, which is celebrating of its 50th anniversary.

WWGB will be running items in The News throughout the rest of this year to help commemorate the anniversary.

The police department has identified the need for a drone to use in search and rescue operations, accident investigations and other police efforts. Funds raised by WWGB this year will be used to purchase this important equipment.

To celebrate this historic anniversary, WWGB and representatives from the police department will be at community events throughout the year, including a fun pool party at WaterWorks in West Windsor Community Park on Friday, June 22.

This event to kick off the summer season is free to all West Windsor residents. Other events include a tour of the West Windsor Police Department and the first ever Mayor’s Ball at the Boathouse at Mercer Lake.
