Audiences can experience the spirit and tension of a Broadway chorus audition when Bordentown Regional High School students present A Chorus Line: High School Edition, March 1-3, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center.

A Chorus Line—with book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, lyrics by Edward Kleban and music by Marvin Hamlisch—explores the inner lives and poignant ambitions of professional Broadway gypsies, and the show features one powerhouse number after another. Memorable musical numbers include “What I Did for Love, “One,” “I Can Do That,” “At the Ballet,” “The Music and the Mirror” and “I Hope I Get It.”

A complex fusion of song, dance and compellingly authentic drama, the show was instantly recognized as a classic. The original Broadway production won nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, four Drama Desk Awards, three Obie Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A Chorus Line: High School Edition is a full-length version of the musical, adapted for performance by high school students for family audiences.

Featured in the cast are Bordentown Regional High School students Varun Andrews, Jack Ashfield, Lucas Bergen, Evan Braasch, Lydia Braasch, Daria Briggs, Jared Brown, Ave’ Corbitt, Jon Domenech, Kayla Downing, Abigail Rose Gunther, Shannon Hansell, Abigayle Harnum, Aidan Hart, Isabella Mayo, Courtney Quinn, Lauren Redwood, Sarah Reichard, Annissa Richard, Leissa Romulus, Rachel Scranton, Lena Stoeckert, Alexis Strandquest, Raelyn Swanhart, Gabrielle Takacs, Hannah Vliet and Alison Wall.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students, and can be purchased in advance at Tickets will also be sold at the door.
