Two Ewing men and two from Trenton have been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of a Ewing man at his home in October.

According to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, Devon Green, 23, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene on Lanning Street on Oct. 19 at about 1 a.m.

Kyree Hill, 18, of Trenton was charged with murder, robbery and weapons offenses. Charged with robbery and weapons offenses were Damonte Smith, 20, of Ewing, Voshon McCray, 20, of Ewing and Coson Taylor, 19, of Trenton.

Police said that Green, a rapper known as “Savy G,” was sitting in his home’s carport with a friend when he was killed. Authorities allege that Hill, Smith, McCray and Taylor were attempting to rob Green, and Hill shot him.

Drunk driving arrests

Margie McCoy, 65, of Trenton, was arrested for suspected drunk driving during an accident investigation on Nov. 15 on Lower Ferry Road, police said.

According to police, Andrew Beaston, 35, of Ewing, was arrested Nov. 22 for suspected drunk driving after being stopped for a traffic violation on Theresa Street.

Deshawn K. Norris, 31, of Ewing, was arrested for suspected drunk driving during a motor vehicle stop on Parkway Avenue at about 11 p.m. on Nov. 25, police said.

Fernando X. Suarez-Leon, 30, of Willingboro, arrested for suspected drunk driving during a motor vehicle stop on Bear Tavern Road, police said. The stop occurred at around midnight on Dec. 1.

Arrested for suspected drunk driving at 1:18 a.m. on Dec. 1 was Marcus S. Evans, 41, of Trenton, police said. He was found to be DWI during a motor vehicle stop on Olden Avenue, police said.

Michael G. Maratta, 21, of Ewing, was arrested for suspected drunk driving during a motor vehicle stop at 2:19 a.m. on Dec. 3, police said. The stop occurred on on Olden Avenue.

Thomas N. Friedeborn, 52, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, was arrested for suspected drunk driving during a motor vehicle stop on Lower Ferry Road, said police. The stop occured on Dec. 03 at 1:43 p.m.

Drug arrests

Giovanni Rivera, 26, of Ewing, was arrested for possession of suspected marijuana during a motor vehicle stop on Olden Avenue on Nov. 15, police said.

On Nov. 15 on Pennington Road, Attila Lako, 46, of Hopewell, was arrested for possession of suspected heroin during a motor vehicle stop, police said.

Herman A. Wood, 25, of Trenton, was arrested for possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop on Olden Avenue on Nov. 23, police said.

Anthony C. Smith, 24, of Ewing, was arrested Nov. 24 for possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop on Olden Avenue, police said.

Trevor A. Marciante, 44, of Pennington, was arrested Nov. 28 for possession of cocaine during a motor vehicle stop on Penningtown Road, police said. He was also found to be wanted on an active warrant out of Hopewell.

Johntay Peterson, 19, of Hamilton, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop for active warrants and was found to have drugs in his possession. The stop occurred on Olden Avenue on Dec. 11 at 11 p.m.

Paraphernalia arrest

Vernon E. Daniels Jr., 55, of Trenton, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, police said, during a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Street on Nov. 28.

Dominique A. Leboeuf, 25, of Nutley, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at The Element Ewing Princeton hotel on Sam Weinroth Road at 7:51 p.m. on Nov. 30, police said. The paraphernalia was discovered during an investigation for refusal to pay a hotel bill, police said.

Shoplifting

Two unknown females shoplifted $800 worth of merchandise—including assorted sweat pants and hoodies—from Foot Locker on Olden Avenue and fled the store.
Forman Mills on Olden Avenue was the victim of a shoplifting on Nov. 25. Police said an unknown person stole $69.92 worth of merchandise and then fled the store at about 4:30 p.m.

Two unknown females stole $1,310.00 worth of merchandise from Foot Locker and fled the store on Nov. 25. The crime occurred at about 8 p.m.

An unknown female shoplifted $278.98 worth of merchandise from Shop Rite on Olden Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 29. The suspect fled the store prior to police arrival.

A red Barreto log splitter was stolen from Home Depot on Olden Avenue at about 9 a.m. on Dec. 3. Police said that someone in a silver truck with Virginia plates stole the log splitter and and fled the store before police arrived.

Two juvenile males shoplifted items from Super Dollar Store and fled the store on foot before police could arrive. The theft happened on Dec. 10 at 12:49 p.m.

Shoplifting arrests

Erika D. Peterson, 33, of Trenton, was arrested for shoplifting $97.71 worth of merchandise at CVS Pharmacy on Parkway Avenue on Nov. 21, police said.

Michael O. Gayle, 48, of Trenton, was arrested for shoplifting $254.20 worth of merchandise at Rite Aid on Olden Avenue on Nov. 25, police said. It was also discovered that he was wanted on a warrant issues by Ewing Township.

Brandon White, 29, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, was arrested Nov. 30, police said, for shoplifting $747.00 worth of merchandise from Home Depot on Olden Avenue, police said. The incident occurred at 9:48 a.m.

Aliaksandr Charavach, 33, of Lawrenceville, was arrested for shoplifting $735.48 worth of merchandise at CVS Pharmacy on Olden Avenue, police said. The alleged crime occurred on Dec. 3 at 8:19 p.m.

Auto thefts

A Country Lane resident’s car was stolen overnight while parked in a public lot on Nov. 14.

A vehicle owned by a Wynnewood Road resident was stolen overnight Nov. 19 or 20. The car had been left unlocked.

Someone stole a car parked on Darby Court sometime overnight Nov. 27 or 28.

A 2016 Ford Fiesta was stolen sometime overnight from Wiscasset Avenue on Nov. 30.

Auto burglaries

Someone entered a car on Nancy Lane and took items from inside sometime overnight Nov. 17.

Someone entered an unlocked car on Wardman Avenue sometime between Nov. 17 and 20 and stole items from within.

An Arden Avenue resident reported a car break-in on Nov. 21. Police said that sometime during the previous week, someone smashed a window and stole items from within the car.

Someone entered a vehicle on Sutherland Road and stole items from within sometime overnight Nov. 26 or 27.

Three cars parked at PEAC Fitness on Lower Ferry Road were broken-into on Nov. 27. Police said that an unknown suspect entered the cars by breaking a window and stole items from inside of them.

Someone entered a vehicle on 6th Street and stole items from inside sometime overnight Nov. 27 or 28.

A car on Dixmont Avenue was burglarized overnight Nov. 29 or 3o and belongings were stolen from within.

Sometime overnight Dec. 2 or 3, someone entered a vehicle on Pershing Avenue and stole items from inside.

A vehicle parked on Silvia Street was burglarized overnight Dec. 5 or 6. Sometime entered the car and stole items from inside.

Six vehicles were broken into some time overnight Dec. 9 or 10 on Crescent Avenue, Louisiana Avenue, King Avenue and Pennington Road. Various items were stolen from inside the cars.

A van parked on Homan Avenue was broken into and tools were taken from inside on Dec. 14.

Thefts

Ewing Cemetery on Scotch Road was the victim of a burglary between Nov. 17 and 20. Someone entered the building and stole money.

A Parkside Avenue resident was the victim of a theft on Nov. 20. Someone stole an Amazon package from the front doorstep of the victim’s apartment.

A customer in Dollar Tree on Olden Avenue was the victim of a theft on Nov. 22. Police said someone stole a customer’s purse.

Sometime stole a package from the front doorstep of a Woodland Avenue resident. The theft happened sometime during the day on Nov. 27.

Eat and run

Ewing Diner on Parkway Avenue was the victim of a theft at 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 26. Police said that an unknown male ordered $14.80 worth of food, ate and then left without paying.

Counterfeit bill passed

Lukoil on Prospect Street was the victim of a theft when someone used a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for gas. The incident occurred at 10:49 a.m. on Nov. 28.

Attempted burglary

Minuteman Press on Scotch Road was the victim of an attempted break-in and vandalism sometime overnight Nov. 29 and 30. Police said someone attempted to gain entry through the rear door and then spray painted the door and siding of the building.

Residential burglaries

A Scenic Drive resident was the victim of a burglary sometime overnight Dec. 2 or 3. Police said that someone entered the victim’s apartment and stole an item from inside.

A home on Albemarle Avenue was burglarized sometime during the day on Dec. 13. Belongings were stolen from inside.

A vacant home on Susan Drive was burglarized sometime before Nov. 27. Police said someone entered the residence and changed the locks.

Wallet lifted

A customer at Aldi on Olden Avenue was the victim of a theft at about 3 p.m. on Dec. 3. Police said an unknown male stole the victim’s wallet and fled the store prior to police arriving.

Burglary arrest

Barry M. Phox, 47, of Vineland, was arrested for allegedly taking tools from inside trucks at Mercer Wrecking on Calhoun Street at 7 a.m. on Dec. 5. Police said that when he confronted, Phox attempted to run and was caught after a brief foot chase.
