Gas station assaults. A 28-year-old Princeton man was the victim of an aggravated assault at the Lukoil gas station on Route 1 on Aug. 14. The victim, who was intoxicated, said he was in the parking lot of the gas station and approached a man, who was smoking in his vehicle, for a cigarette.

The man in the car refused and the two men engaged in a verbal argument. The driver then put his car into reverse, drove over the victim’s foot and then left the scene. The victim was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment.

A 53-year-old resident of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was the victim of a simple assault at the Getty gas station on Route 1. Police said the victim was stopped behind another vehicle at a red traffic signal at the Washington Road circle on Route 1. When the signal turned green, the vehicle in front of him, a green Ford or Chevrolet SUV, proceeded forward and then stopped.

Police said the victim then beeped his horn at the SUV, and the driver of the SUV waved his arm out the window and pulled into the nearby Getty gas station. The victim followed him and pulled up alongside the driver’s side of the SUV. The suspect then yelled something at him, sprayed him in the face with pepper spray and then drove away.
