Looking for a festive, family-friendly way to spend Thanksgiving weekend?
The 53rd Annual Children’s Home Society Auxiliary Brunch with Santa is set for Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 at Notre Dame High School in Lawrence Township. There will be two sessions: 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at each.
Children can play holiday-themed games, make a variety of crafts, take a photo with Santa, get their faces painted and more. Homemade baked goods will be available for purchase, and Rule #1, an original Christmas play, will be performed.
Adults can browse bazaar items, personalized ornaments and tricky tray baskets ranging from a kids’ baking basket to a healthy living basket. A raffle will be drawn at the end of the day for the following prizes: a handcrafted dollhouse, a 20-inch Raleigh bike, a Furreal Friends Starlily Magical Unicorn and a poinsettia plant. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey Auxiliary, which meets every month at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Upper Ferry Road in West Trenton, was founded more than 50 years ago and raises money for the organization.
Brunch tickets are $5 per person, and all proceeds benefit the Children’s Home Society of New Jersey foster care program. Make checks payable to The Auxiliary Board of the Children’s Home Society of New Jersey.
To purchase tickets, send your name, phone number, address, e-mail address, number of tickets and desired session with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Harriet Flynn, 20 Woolsey Ct., Pennington, NJ, 08534.
