Capital Corn & Confections is set to host a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting event at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015. The event will be held at 195 Scotch Road in Ewing and will feature Ewing Mayor Bert Steinman.

Capital Corn & Confections’ grourmet popcorn has been featured at the Capital City Market, the Robbinsville Farmers’ Market, Sun Bank Arena, Kennedy’s Cheesecakes in Hamilton and Marrazzo’s and Pennington Markets.

Among the folks who have “walked on the wild side” of Capital Corn’s gourmet flavors are actress Phylicia Rashad, television jurist Judge Mablean, film director Spike Lee, and Cheryl Boone Isaacs, president of the Academy of Motion Pictures, who were all gifted baskets. Ewing High School grad and basketball great Hollis Copeland is partial to the Cookies & Cream.

The “standard” gourmet popcorn menu is far from run-of-the mill with flavors like Cheddar & Bacon, Pralines & Cream, Gingered Caramel, Peanut Butter Cup, and Salt and Vinegar. Seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Spice (for Thanksgiving), Peppermint Bark (for the Holidays), and Peppermint Poppy (for St. Patrick’s Day) will make every holiday pop.
