High School North’s post prom committee has created a new event to raise funds for the senior class’s annual night of fun held after the senior prom. Casino Knight Out will be held Friday, October 23, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe. $95 includes $100 in casino money, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, music, Vegas-style tables, dessert, and prizes. You must be 21 or older to attend.
“We are lifetime members at Forsgate Country Club and we attended a casino night last year and had a blast,” says Lori Bohling, the co-chair of the event. “We knew we needed to do something new and exciting and that could generate a lot of support for the kids’ safety.”
Lori and her husband, Cliff, own the CLK Group based in West Windsor. (CLK is named for Cliff, Lori, and Kaley). Lori, the president of the business that does nationwide talent acquisition and management consulting, is also director of Spirit of Child Foundation, a non-profit group.
“We moved here when Kaley was in first grade because WW-P was the number No. 1 school district and we love the schools,” she says. Cliff was raised in Congers, New York, where he was a high school golfer. He continued to play golf at Rider, where he received a degree in business. “Kaley is her dad’s mini me,” says Lori, who was raised in Wall and began playing golf this year.
Kaley, an only child, will graduate from High School North in 2016, and has committed to Sacred Heart University, where she will play Division I golf. She plans to do the school’s five-year MBA program at the Jack Welch Business School with a focus in entrepreneurial studies.
“The HSN leadership team has been wonderful, and we love our community connections,” says Lori.
The co-chair of the committee is Nancy Perrine. Her son, Bennett, also a senior at High School North, is also a golfer and a member at Forsgate. Her daughter, Kate, a North graduate, is a senior at Lafayette.
“Most people do not know how much is needed to create the post prom event,” says Lori, who created the idea of this year’s main fundraiser. “The entire event for the evening costs in excess of $35,000.” They have already sold several table sponsorships and garnered a nice chunk of money for the post prom event. There are fewer than 100 tickets remaining for the casino night. Register at www.wwpn-postprom.org
